Abstract
A number of endocrine disorders, such as diabetes mellitus, hypogonadism and hyperparathyroidism have been associated with osteopenia and osteoporosis. Since diabetes mellitus and osteopenia are very common and of great socioeconomic relevance, interactions between both have become an interesting topic.
